Woman Robbed in Her Apartment
A gunman tied up, hit and robbed a 22-year-old Los Alamitos woman at her apartment Friday, police said.
After knocking on the woman’s door, the robber told her that he was looking for someone in her apartment complex, Police Sgt. James Jessen said. About two minutes later, he returned, entered through the unlocked door, tied her up and ransacked the apartment.
The man appeared to be waiting for an accomplice, Jessen said. At one point he placed the woman’s belongings in a pile and whistled loudly. When no one came, the thief left the items, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the woman, struck her and fled, Jessen said. Los Alamitos police were seeking a Latino about 30 to 35 years old, about 6 feet tall with collar-length black hair and a medium build. He was wearing a medium-blue, long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, Jessen said.
