It’s a Shame Dodgers’ Season Ended Because of One Lousy Decision

St. Louis has proven it is the better team, yet my congratulations go to all the Dodgers for a great season. Mariano Duncan was especially impressive, learning to switch hit and play a new position. Pedro, Marshall, Fernando, Hershiser, Sax, everyone including Lasorda, worked hard to win the West.

It’s just too bad that one lousy decision, pitching to St. Louis’ only legitimate home-run hitter with first base open, should put 1985 to rest on such a sour note. However, let’s all remember we’re talking about baseball here and not brain surgery. So Tommy, I’m still behind you. Have a good winter and come 1986, the Dodgers will win it all.
