Manhattan National Corp., New York, elected Michael J. Morrissey president and chief operating officer of the holding company and its primary subsidiary, Manhattan Life Insurance Corp. of New York.

Morrissey, who was also elected a director, was previously vice president-investments for Manhattan National and executiv vice president and chief investment officer of the insurance unit. He joined the company in February.
