Dutch Quit Lebanon Role

BEIRUT —
The 140-man Netherlands contingent in the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon has officially ended its operations, a U.N. spokesman said Monday. The Dutch government announced Oct. 8 that it was withdrawing its troops from the 5,700-man force in south Lebanon because of concern for their safety.
