Hewlett-Packard said it will form a new group.

In order to provide more closely coordinated management of its integrated circuit activities, Hewlett-Packard of Palo Alto has announced the formation of a new integrated circuit group. Frederic N. Schwettmann, currently general manager of the firm’s Northwest IC division in Corvallis, Ore., has been named group general manager. The new group will comprise NID; the Cupertino, Calif., IC division, and the Singapore IC operation that reports to NID. The changes will be effective Nov. 1.
