West German Daily Attacked by Vandals

HAMBURG, West Germany — Vandals have destroyed almost all of the production facilities of the West German left-wing daily Die Tageszeitung. The vandalism came a day after the newspaper printed an interview with an official who said the Hamburg squatters’ community had been infiltrated by Red Army Faction guerrillas.
A spokesman for the paper, which has a circulation of about 40,000, said the attack occurred Monday night and caused about $83,000 in damage.
