Carson : Efforts for Hotel Renewed
New efforts to build a Civic Center hotel are under way in Carson, where officials this week approved a measure to continue their three-year effort to secure an image-enhancing development.
City officials instructed staff members to work closely with two firms that submitted hotel proposals this month, after plans to build a Hilton were abandoned by the developer for lack of financing.
The new hotel proposals were submitted by Gestec Properties and Wolff, Senson & Buttery, both of Los Angeles. Both proposals include plans for 300-room hotels with shops, a lounge and a restaurant.
