Peggy Lee in Satisfactory Condition After Surgery

NEW ORLEANS — Singer Peggy Lee was in satisfactory condition Wednesday after surgery to drain an infected incision from an open-heart operation two weeks ago, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Lee, 65, a Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter, had double-bypass surgery after chest pains forced her to cancel the closing performances of an engagement in New Orleans.
