CARACAS, Venezuela — Officers said Wednesday they have seized more than 1,320 pounds of cocaine in their second biggest raid ever. They said the drugs, almost certainly on the way from Colombia to the United States, were found in two shipments in the town of Coro, about 250 miles east of Caracas.
In 1983, police found 1,500 pounds of 90% pure cocaine, valued at $750 million, in a light aircraft near Caracas.
