San Francisco lawyer Lloyd Aubry Jr. has been appointed state labor commissioner by Gov. George Deukmejian. Aubry, 35, replaces C. Robert Simpson in the $66,780-a-year post. The labor commissioner, as chief of the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, is responsible for enforcing laws governing wages, hours and working standards. Aubry’s appointment requires Senate confirmation.
