Your article presented a very clear picture of a wealthy widow supposedly dedicated to the preservation of life. I’m as much for nuclear disarmament as any middle-class American. And yet, as a vegetarian and supporter of animal rights, I find it difficult to believe the sincerity of someone who advocates carnivorous habits.
And I cannot believe actor Jack Lemmon when he says, “She is basically concerned with what the hell is going to happen to all of us.” “All of us” includes cows and fish, does it not? Or is that term limited to very rich, “traditional” philanthropists?
