Message for Captive Broadcast
From Reuters
BEIRUT —
Relatives of kidnaped American journalist Terry Anderson wished him happy birthday in a videotaped message shown on Lebanese television today.
“We’re all trying to do what we can to bring you home,” his mother said after the family sang to congratulate Anderson, a native of Loraine, Ohio, on his 38th birthday. Anderson, Middle East bureau chief for Associated Press, has been missing since March. During the 20-minute tape, a high school friend held up a photo of Anderson’s baby daughter, born after his abduction.
