Torrance : Lions Donate ‘Books-on-Tape’
The Torrance Lions Club has donated $500 for the Torrance Public Library’s “Books-on-Tape” program. . . . The City Council passed a resolution endorsing federal legislation HR 3113 by U.S. Rep. George Miller (D-Martinez), which calls for coordinated operation of federal and state water projects in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta region. . . . The City Council approved issuing up to $35 million in tax-exempt hospital revenue bonds for the expansion of Little Company of Mary Hospital. The bonds will be repaid from hospital revenues.
