Reducing U.S. Deficit
I am amazed at the apparent bandwagon now forming in Washington to balance the budget or even go so far as to reduce the national debt.
These are the same folks who pushed us to double the national debt in the first five years of the Reagan Administration. As I remember it, President Reagan campaigned in 1980 on a platform of balancing the budget.
And who ends up paying? The American taxpayer, of course. The taxpayer always pays. Inflation, gasoline shortages, national defense, it doesn’t matter what cause it’s for, we end up paying.
Personally, I’m tired of it. I think we ought to vote the bums out.
My prediction for the next bailout: American banks, can’t miss.
