College Receives Builders’ Award for House Project

Share

A plaque honoring Fresno City College has been presented by the California Building Industry Foundation to instructor Kenneth Wall, who heads the technical and industrial division of the college’s construction department.

Under Wall’s supervision, the college’s construction program prepares students for employment as advanced apprentices in the building trades. Each August, Wall and the students begin construction of a home that is ready for sale by the end of May. To date, four homes have been built and sold with funds going to the Construction Department’s budget for the next project.

Jewel Keusder, a California Building Industry Foundation trustee, made the presentation.
