Most U.S. consumers are confident that the economy will remain unchanged or grow stronger in the next six months, but an increasing minority believes that conditions will decline, the Conference Board reported in a monthly survey. The group said that 66.8% of the survey’s 5,000 respondents believe that the business outlook will remain unchanged through April, while 22.1% forecast an improvement and 11.1% a deterioration.
