Philippine Flood Kills 52

COTABATO, Philippines —
At least 52 people were killed and 20 missing after floods engulfed villages along a river on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, government officials reported Monday. They said 80,000 people lost their homes in the flooding of the Rio Grande, which passes through Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao provinces.
