Animal Center Completed in Rancho Santa Fe
Construction has been completed by R. E. Hazard Jr. Inc. on the $6.5-million Helen Woodward Animal Center, a facility designed to provide quality animal care.
The center is an extension of the present San Dieguito Animal Care & Education Center, a nonprofit corporation at 6461 El Apajo Road in Rancho Santa Fe.
The two-story, 45,000-square-foot facility with an active solar system, designed by Krommenhoek, McKeown & Associates and built by R. E. Hazard Jr. Inc., contains a general referral hospital patterned after hospitals for humans and offering a full range of services for veterinarians, including radiology, surgery and recovery rooms.
