Douglas Aircraft, Long Beach, has named Eugene F. Dubil to the newly created position of vice president-ombudsman, with responsibility for monitoring employee, customer and supplier complaints and seeking resolutions.
Dubil, who was previously vice president-product support, will be replaced by Thomas M. Ryan Jr., former commander of the Air Force Military Airlift Command. Ryan will manage field support of commercial jetliners and military aircraft as well as overseeing maintenance training programs for the existing fleet and for new aircraft designs.
Douglas is a subsidiary of St. Louis-based McDonnell Douglas.
