A $3.75-million grant has been awarded to the UC San Diego School of Medicine, UCLA, UC Irvine and several other institutions for research into the study of language, learning and behavior disorders in children.
The grant from the National Institutes of Health will be used over a number of years. The grant was announced at the Children’s Hospital and Health Center in San Diego, which has established a language research facility.
