Pepperdine Has TV Pact

Pepperdine University has arranged for television coverage of 33 events in several sports, the school’s athletic department announced Thursday.

The television package will be carried by three stations that broadcast in the Valley area.

“It is easily the best television exposure the school has ever had in any capacity,” Associate Athletic Director Tim Wilhelm said.

Three men’s basketball games will be carried by KTIE-TV of Ventura, which reaches homes in coastal Malibu and Conejo and Ventura counties. The coverage includes the Waves vs. Kansas in the Big Apple Tournament in Denver on Nov. 22 and Pepperdine vs. DePaul on Jan. 9.

Prime Ticket, carried in California, Arizona, Nevada and Hawaii, will broadcast the Pepperdine men’s basketball game against Washington State on Nov. 26, a baseball game against UCLA on Feb. 18 and a men’s volleyball match against USC on March 25.
