Stanley F. Brown resigned as a senior vice president of Computer Memories of Chatsworth to become president and chairman of San Jose-based Atasi, another disk-drive company that he helped found in 1981.

Brown, 44, quit his job in charge of engineering and new product development for Computer Memories after three months on the job. He previously was a consultant.

Brown will replace Donald Lundell, who resigned last week from Atasi, which is reorganizing under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. At Computer Memories, Brown’s duties temporarily will be assumed by Gary Streuter, the company’s president and chief operating officer.
