A jury was selected Tuesday in the murder trial of a 17-year-old boy charged with killing actor David Huffman in Balboa Park.
Opening statements will be made at 9 a.m. Thursday before San Diego Superior Court Judge Norbert Ehrenfreund.
Genero Villanueva is being tried as an adult in the Feb. 27 slaying of Huffman, 39, which allegedly followed an attempted theft from a motor home in the park. Huffman apparently chased a burglar and was stabbed to death with a screwdriver. His body was discovered several days later.
