Local News in Brief : Thieves Drive Truck Through Store Window, Take 40 Guns
About 40 handguns were stolen from a Simi Valley gun store early Friday after thieves using a stolen pickup truck crashed through the store’s front window, police said.
Lt. Bob Klamser said the burglary occurred shortly after 5 a.m. at Hilldale Gun Sales on Tierra Rejada Road. The stolen guns were valued at about $11,000, he said.
The truck used to gain access to the store was reported stolen Thursday from a nearby residential neighborhood, Klamser said.
No one witnessed the burglary and police have no suspects, he said.
