Engineers Planning Awards Ceremony

Professional engineers’ societies in the Los Angeles area are planning observances of National Engineers Week in February, with awards to companies of innovative engineering projects and to individual engineers who have accomplished notable work in the field.
Joel Kitchens, president of the Institute for the Advancement of Engineering, which represents more than 100,000 members of professional societies in Southern California, said several hundred groups in the region have submitted nominations.
