France Is Popular With U.S. Tourists

Americans are visiting France in record numbers, with a projected 2.35 million visiting during 1985, a 23% increase over last year’s record 1.9 million American visitors, according to the French Government Tourist Office.
New airline routes and increased flight frequencies have added 62% more seats this year to accommodate the tourism boom. The strong dollar is credited for at least part of the increase.
