Regan Remarks About Women

As a woman, I feel that I must defend Donald Regan for the remarks he made about women’s interests. He is right that women cannot understand nuclear problems. Why do the men continue to build and place nuclear weapons all over this planet? Is this really arms control? He is right that women cannot understand the human rights issue. Why do men continue to imprison and torture other men? He is right that women cannot understand why men of one country invade and kill men of another country, i.e., Afghanistan.

As Regan is right, I feel that we should presume upon him to share his wisdom with us, and from the men’s point of view, to explain these world problems in “human interest” terms so that we women can begin to understand.
