Anaheim : Officials Urge Shoppers to ‘Buy American’ Today
For some people, the day after Thanksgiving means a day for relaxation and turkey leftovers. For others, it means it’s time to go shopping.
With “sale” signs cropping up everywhere, today is a biggie for bargain hunters. In Anaheim, city officials this week proclaimed today as “Buy American Day in Anaheim.”
In response to a request by a Bedford, Tex., group called Return America’s Prosperity, city officials Tuesday agreed to the proclamation.
In a letter to the council, the Texas group said it was requesting the proclamation because “what day is more appropriate than the day after giving thanks to make a commitment to prosperity for posterity?”
