--Cheating by defense contractors can’t be punished--it would hurt defense.

--”Star Wars” will be worth bankrupting the country for.

--Welfare for big banks is OK, but not for children born out of wedlock.

--Tax reform is necessary--if it doesn’t hurt the oil companies.

--Tax breaks for working women should be repealed.

--American workers should not protest subsidized foreign imports.

--It doesn’t matter that American farmers are losing their farms.

--Criminals and Mafia types should be jailed--unless they are Republicans.

--Arming the Arabs will bring peace to the Middle East.

--249 young Americans died in Lebanon for their country.

--The conquest of Grenada was a mighty deed--and has made Grenada happy.

--Killing peasants in Nicaragua and burning their crops is anti-communism.

--All poor peasants everywhere are Communists.

--Correcting Reagan’s “misstatements” is unpatriotic.

--The First Amendment is a mistake. Jerry Falwell knows best.

--Creationism should be taught and evolution censored out of textbooks.

--Private schools should be paid for by tax money.

--But college should be for those who can afford it.

--We should go back to back-alley abortions; the rich can go abroad.

--Free birth control clinics are a waste of taxpayers’ money.

--School lunches are a waste of taxpayers’ money.

--Public transportation is a waste of taxpayers’ money.

--It is better to build bombs than highways, bridges and schools.
