A U.S. magistrate today ordered the wife of accused spy Jonathan Jay Pollard to remain in jail without bond until her trial on charges of possessing secret U.S. documents.

U.S. Magistrate Patrick Attridge, after hearing lawyers’ arguments for 15 minutes, rejected defense claims that Anne Henderson-Pollard would remain in the country. She is charged with unauthorized possession of classified material in an international incident that has strained the usually friendly relationship between the United States and Israel.
