Harbor City : Graffiti Cleanup Launched
Harbor City merchants and residents are launching an all-day graffiti removal campaign Saturday.
The cleanup will be sponsored by the Harbor City Chamber of Commerce, and leaders are seeking volunteers to help remove graffiti from the community’s public and private surfaces.
“Graffiti is a community problem,” said Mike Walsh, cleanup chairman. “Cleaning it up should be a community effort.”
Cleanup volunteers are meeting at 9 a.m. at Ferrin Woodworking and Supply Co., 25889 Belle Porte Ave., Harbor City. Paint and other supplies will be provided, although donations are welcome. Further information can be obtained from the Harbor City Chamber of Commerce at 325-3310.
