A 28-year-old Spring Valley man died Friday night of chest wounds after he apparently jumped from the Laurel Street bridge in Balboa Park.
Witnesses told coroner’s deputies that George Clay English jumped from the bridge about 9 p.m. The man was transferred to Mercy Hospital, where he died an hour later on the operating table, a deputy coroner said.
