Nordstrom is studying expansion sites.

The Seattle-based retailer said it is looking at locations in Washington, Boston, Phoenix, Denver, Chicago and other cities but isn’t close to any decisions yet. The company, which is expecting this year to surpass $1 billion in revenue for the first time, has 44 stores. As part of an expansion, Nordstrom plans next year to open stores in Montclair and Escondido as well as a replacement for its South Coast Plaza store.
