Monterey Park : Council Considers Bars Ban
The City Council is considering an Architectural Review Board recommendation to ban the installation of security bars on the outside of stores and offices. Leslie Anderson Little, economic development officer, said the board believes installation of the burglary-prevention devices should be permitted only inside windows and doors so that the bars do not detract from a building’s appearance.
