Czech Women Crowd Luxury Perfume Shop
Czechoslovakian women got their first whiff of French perfume this month at a newly opened Christian Dior fragrance shop in Prague. It is the first such shop in all of Eastern Europe, Dior spokeswoman Genevieve Ducret said in Paris--and it is part of the Czech government’s attempt to raise the country’s living standards and to provide citizens with more luxury goods. Ducret said the shop, which has a beauty parlor in back, was crowded on opening day with curious Czechs who lined up to get in.
