Anaheim : Drivers, Agents End Airport Service Strike

Share

Bus drivers and ticket agents of Anaheim-based Airport Service Inc. have ended their five-week strike, company officials announced Friday.

Company President D. W. Boyles said that all schedules had been restored and all striking employees had returned to their jobs by Friday. However, he gave no details of the settlement, except to say the workers ratified a new two-year contract.

The employees had walked off the job on Nov. 7 to protest a company proposal to cut wages 11.5%, which meant an average $1.02 less an hour.

“We are greatly pleased to be back in full operation in time to serve travelers during the holidays,” Boyles said.
