N.Y. Transit Fare Boost Sparks a 10-Cent Protest

NEW YORK —
Transit officials on Friday approved raising the bus and subway fare from 90 cents to $1 at a raucous meeting that was delayed by protesters who pelted officials with dimes. Nine people were arrested.
