Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corp. named J. Mark Hattendorf senior vice president-finance. John Meehan, who had held that post, was named senior vice president-banking and tax matters.

President Alan Horn, to whom both will report, said rapid expansion at the studio “created an expanded need for financial leadership.”

Hattendorf had been vice president and controller.

Meehan joined the company in 1955 and Hattendorf in 1977.

Separately, Gerald K. Bergman, who had been a Fox director since 1981 and executive vice president since October, 1982, announced plans to leave the studio and work for its former owner, Marvin Davis, who recently sold out to media baron Rupert Murdoch.
