S.D. Sailor Killed in Cycle Accident
A 26-year-old sailor died Sunday morning when he lost control of the motorcycle he was riding on Interstate 94 and ran off the road near Campo, the county coroner’s office reported.
Daniel Driver, a crewmen on the San Diego-based destroyer tender Cape Cod, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident about 1 1/2 miles east of La Posta Road, a coroner’s spokesman said. The accident occurred about 11:20 a.m.
