Alpha Microsystems Posts $449,000 Net Loss

Alpha Microsystems Inc., a Santa Ana manufacturer of business computer systems, reported a net loss of $449,000 for the third quarter ended Nov. 24, compared with net income of $154,000 in the period a year earlier. Sales fell to $12.1 million, from $12.9 million in the year-ago quarter.

For the nine-month period, Alpha Microsystems suffered a loss of $2 million, compared with net income of $2 million in the prior year’s period. Sales dipped to $36.7 million, from $39.6 million a year earlier.
