An 11-year-old Pasadena boy was in critical condition at an Arcadia hospital after falling 200 feet from a ledge while hiking with three other boys in the Angeles National Forest, Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies said. Eduardo Figueroa suffered a fractured skull and massive head injuries after losing his footing and falling to the bottom of a waterfall in Eaton Canyon, about five miles northeast of Altadena, deputies said. He had been hiking with his brother, Carlos, 13, Robert Boyadiak 13, and Edward Carson, 10. None of the other boys, also from Pasadena, was injured. They remained trapped on the ledge until members of a Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team were able to reach them. All four boys were airlifted from the canyon by helicopter.
