Two men and a woman, all Pacoima residents, will be arraigned next week on charges that they committed six robberies over an 8 1/2-hour period in the San Fernando area, San Fernando police said. Five of the robberies occurred Christmas morning, police said.

The robberies began about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday at a liquor store in San Fernando and continued until 7:45 Christmas morning, when the three tried to rob a 7-Eleven store in San Fernando that they had robbed earlier in the day, Lt. Dan Peavy said.

The three were arrested when the 7-Eleven clerk, who had been on duty during the first robbery, saw them from the store’s back room and called police, Peavy said.

Scheduled for arraignment Monday in San Fernando Municipal Court are Kenneth Brown, 31, Clifton McDaniel, 24, and Sonja Richards, 23. Brown and McDaniel are being held in San Fernando Jail in lieu of $11,000 and $6,000 bail, respectively. Richards is being held at Sybil Brand Institute on $6,000 bail, Peavy said.

The three are accused of using broken beer bottles as weapons to rob three all-night markets in the Pacoima area, one liquor store in San Fernando and the 7-Eleven store, Peavy said.

There were no injuries during the robberies.

Peavy estimated that $265 to $500 was taken in the robberies.
