Woman’s Body Found in Field in Canoga Park
The body of a young woman was discovered Friday in a Canoga Park field, Los Angeles police reported.
The woman, described only as about 20, was found about 2 p.m. by a boy who was playing in the field, which is in the Lakeside Park area near Ingomar Street and March Avenue, Detective Phil Quartararo said.
The detective would not comment on the cause of death, but said the case is being treated as a homicide pending further investigation and an autopsy.
The fully clothed victim had been dead about 24 hours, Quartararo said.
