American Victims in Rome, Vienna Attacks
Following is a preliminary list of Americans killed or wounded in the the terrorist attacks Friday on airports at Rome and Vienna. The list was compiled by the Associated Press based on reports from local police and government offices, U.S. diplomatic missions and the State Department.
Killed in Rome: John Buonocore, 20, Wilmington, Del.; Frederick Gage Jr., 29, Madison, Wis.; Don Maland, 30, New Port Richey, Fla.; Natasha Simpson, 11, American living in Rome, and Elena Tomarello, 67, Naples, Fla.
Wounded in Rome: Kay Goff, 78, Corona del Mar, Calif.; Mark Maland, 37, Elizabeth City, N.C.; Jean Pollack, 21, no hometown given; Charles Shinn, 69, Englewood, Colo.; Jeanne Shinn, 65, Englewood; Michael Simpson, 9, American living in Rome; Victor Simpson, 43, New York, N.Y. native living in Rome; Jeannette Sweiss, 11, Michael Sweiss, 58, Said Sweiss, 8, Sayel Sweiss, 12, and Juliet Sweiss, 6, all of Oak Lawn, Ill.; and Roberta Kalber Weindorf, 47, Austin, Tex.
No American fatalities in Vienna.
Wounded in Vienna: Peter Lesley and Donna Kralik, no hometowns available.
