Two Whittier men were arrested on suspicion of murder in the bludgeoning death of a 19-year-old woman whose battered body was found in the Friendly Hills area of Whittier. Pamela Kay McMahand was reported missing by relatives a few hours after her body was found. Police, using the description in the missing persons report, determined that the body found near the 16100 block of Cequita Drive was hers. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Sanders and Michael Anthony Tschasar, both 21. Deputy Sam Jones of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau declined to say what led to the men’s arrest. Both are being held without bail at County Jail.
