HEMINGWAY RETURNS ON KGIL-AM

Share

Carole Hemingway, a former talk-show host at KABC-AM (790), returns to Los Angeles radio next week over KGIL-AM (1260) in the San Fernando Valley.

Hemingway, who hosted a nightly KABC program for eight years before being dropped by the station in July, 1982, will broadcast Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. She replaces Sally Jesse Raphael, whose syndicated evening talk show over KGIL has been repeated in that midday slot. Raphael’s program will continue to air in the evenings.

KGIL switched to an all-talk format last July.

Since leaving KABC, Hemingway has written a syndicated newspaper column, worked at radio station WABC in New York and reported for a syndicated TV magazine show, “Breakaway.”
