Biflyx Reports Net Loss of $334,000 for Fiscal ’85

High costs of marketing a new electronic photography system led to continued annual losses at Biflyx in fiscal 1985, the company said. The Santa Ana high technology firm reported a net loss of $334,000 for the fiscal year ended June 30, compared with a net loss of $316,000 for the previous fiscal year. Operating revenues for the fiscal year, however, were up to $16,000 from $2,000 the year before. Jay Gegenberg, president of Biflyx, blamed new product marketing costs on the loss, but said that sales of the new systems “will contribute to revenues during fiscal 1986.”
