Man’s Body Discovered: A Santa Ana man was found dead in his apartment Friday night by friends who had been searching for him, police said. The decomposed body of Gene Carson, 50, who lived in an apartment in the 1500 block of South Raitt Street, was discovered about 8 p.m. on the floor of his apartment, Sgt. Mike Lanners said. He said Carson’s friends had gone to the apartment because they had not seen him “for several days.” The cause of death is unknown. An autopsy has been scheduled.
