Reserve forward Larry Spriggs of the Lakers will miss 10 to 14 days of play because of a foot injury, the team announced.

The 6-foot-7 Spriggs landed off-balance after taking a shot in Sunday night’s 118-88 victory over the Washington Bullets, and team trainer Gary Vitti said an examination showed that he suffered a “partial tear of the plantar fascia (connective tissue).” X-rays showed no bone injury, Vitti said.

Spriggs, in his fourth year in the NBA, has averaged 4.3 points per game but has seen action in only 15 of the Lakers’ 32 games this season.
