ORANGE COUNTY

Consolidated Savings Bank in Irvine has appointed three persons--Maxwell Fry, Marjorie Kinney Thomas and Beverly Nestande--to its newly expanded, seven-member board of directors, said Ottavio A. (Tony) Angotti, chairman of the savings and loan association.

Fry, 41, of Laguna Beach, is chairman of the economics department at the University of California, Irvine. Thomas, of Santa Fe, N.M., who has served on the boards of the American Red Cross, the United Way and Safeway Stores Inc., is chairman and president of the Kinney Corp., a management and marketing consultation firm. Nestande, 50, of Orange, former wife of Orange County Supervisor Bruce Nestande, is director of publications, publicity and public relations at the Newport Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce.

Frank Rogers, a Whittier physician, recently resigned from the Consolidated Savings board.
